The Baltimore Ravens find themselves in an unfamiliar position. The Ravens are entering the 2010 season with a lot of hope in their passing game. For years the Ravens were known as a defensive juggernaut, but now they look to have a strong attack on both sides of the ball.
Joe Flacco is young, but appears to have all of the tools necessary to win games. He is especially fond of throwing the deep ball. The wide open passing attack that the Ravens employ goes a long way in creating room for Ray Rice to run the ball.
The Ravens put up more points than all but three teams in the AFC and also surrendered just 261 points on the season. They have the makeup of a team that could contend for a Super Bowl Championship.
The passing attack was already strong last season, but Joe Flacco will have a player unlike any that he has had to work with before in 2010. Anquan Boldin has been one of the top receivers in the league for years and has landed with the Ravens after several years of success with the Cardinals. Boldin will give Flacco a possession receiver that he can look to at any time while he is in trouble.
The Ravens look poised to make a Super Bowl run. 2010 looks as good as any time for them to make a run as you never know if all of the pieces will fall into place as players like Ray Lewis get older.
The Ravens open the 2010 NFL season against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football on Sept. 13.
The Jets are a 3-point favorite and the over/under total is 37 in NFL Odds at Legends.
