Another Williams sisters final at Wimbledon

Once again, the Williams sisters will square off for the Wimbledon women’s title.

Venus is a -160 favorite to beat Serena, a +130 underdog, in LegendZ Tennis Betting Odds.

It should surprise no one that the sisters will face each other in the Wimbledon final again.

Venus, in particular, has dominated opponents this year, routing all matches in two sets, non more convincing than her drubbing of number one seed Dinara Safina 6-0, 6-1 in under an hour in the semi final Thursday.

Venus was at her brutal best serving five aces to nil while also handing up just one unforced error to Safina’s 16. All the stats show that Venus was too strong physically and mentally for the tiny Russian.

Her only other real threat was Ana Ivanovic, the 13th seed Serbian, but Venus duly dispatched her in the first 6-1 before Ivanovic retired in the second set.

If Venus can beat Serena it will be her sixth Wimbledon single’s crown while if Serena is triumphant it will be her third title and amazingly, their dynasty at SW15 will be seven titles in nine years.

Serena was pushed in her semi-final against Elena Dementieva 6-7, 7-5, 8-6 who she eventually beat but it took some effort unlike her route to the final.

Serena’s only other seeded opposition came in the quarter-finals when she tackled Belarus 20-year-old Victoria Azarenka who she smashed 6-2, 6-3.

The sisters will also line up for another crack at the women’s doubles title but this singles final will be decided by which sister can dominate at the net.

If Venus can maintain her faultless game she will be too strong however Serena has the inside scoop and knows her sister’s weaknesses. This match will mark the 21st time they will have played each other in the WTA and whether she can capitalise on them this time around, only time will tell.
