Super Bowl XLIV: New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts
The New Orleans Saints take on the favored Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday in Miami (6:25 pm ET, CBS).
Super Bowl Betting Odds at Legends have the Colts listed as -210 moneyline, 5-point favorites and the over/under total at 56.5.
New Orleans is 3-2 SU and ATS over the past five meetings, 5-2 SU in the last seven meetings, and 4-2 ATS in the last six meetings.
But it’s been more than two years since the teams last met – Sept. 6, 2007 to be exact. The Colts blew out the Saints 41-10 back in that game, as 5.5-point home favorites. The score went under the total of 53.5.
The Saints defeated Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in overtime as a 4-point favorite in the NFC Championship Game, with the score going over the over/under total of 54.
New Orleans running back Pierre Thomas rushed for 61 yards on 14 carries with a TD, and quarterback Drew Brees passed for 197 yards with three touchdowns
The Colts beat the New York Jets 30-17 as a 7.5-point favorite in the AFC Championship Game. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under (40).
Peyton Manning passed for 377 yards with three touchdowns for the Colts in that win, and Pierre Garcon caught 11 passes for 161 yards with a touchdown.
New Orleans was 13-3 SU and 8-8 ATS during the regular season while Indianapolis was 14-2 SU and 10-6 ATS.
