Lakers face 76ers, look for consistency

The defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers will try to find some consistency in their game when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday (10:30 pm ET, Comcast, FOX West).

The Lakers have been on a win-one, lose-one roller coaster over the past four games, and over much of this season so far.

Los Angeles, which got NBA MVP Kobe Bryant back from injury this week, is 6-4 both straight up and against the point spread over the past 10 meetings.

The teams have met once already this season. The Lakers beat the 76ers 99-91 on Jan. 29, covering the spread as 6.5-point road favorites. The score went under the total of 203.

Philadelphia last played on Wednesday, when it lost 106-95 to the Phoenix Suns. The Suns covered as 7.5-point favorites and the score went under the total of 201.

Los Angeles was also in action on Wednesday. Playing their second game with Bryant back in the lineup, the Lakers lost 101-96 to the surging Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks won their fifth straight and covered as a 1.5-point home favorite. The score went over the total of 196.

Philadelphia is 22-35 SU and 25-32 ATS. Los Angeles is 43-15 SU and 25-32-1 ATS.
