Rangers, Senators face off after NHL’s Winter Olympic break
The New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators square off Tuesday night in Canada’s capital, the first game for both NHL teams after the two-week Winter Olympic break.

Ottawa is 5-3-0-2 in the past 10 meetings, seven of which have gone under the point total.
This is the fourth meeting of the season between the Eastern Conference rivals. New York leads the season series 2-1, but the Senators won the last meeting 2-0 on Jan. 14. The Rangers had been a -215 home favorite in that matchup. Â
The Rangers had won two straight games before the bear, the last a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 14. The Rangers were -145 favorites and the score went over the total of 5.5.
Ottawa’s last game was also Feb. 14, when the Senators beat the New York Islanders on Long Island. Ottawa won as a -130 road favorite and the score went over the total of 5.5.
The Rangers are 28-27-7 this season while the Senators are 36-23-4.
On the injury front, Rangers defenseman’ Michael Del Zotto is listed as day-to-day (chest laceration) and the Senators’ forward Nick Foligno is out indefinitely (leg injury).
