Pacers in tough against Lakers
The Indiana Pacers face a tough chore when they go into the Staples Center for a date with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday (10:30 pm ET, FOX West).
NBA Betting at Legends has the Lakers as 11.5-point favorites and the over/under total at 211.5.
While the Lakers have had their problems handing the Pacers when playing in Indiana, they are a perfect 5-0 SU in the past five meetings in LA.
Overall, Los Angeles is 6-4 SU and 5-5 ATS in the past 10 meetings.
This is the second meeting of the season. The Lakers beat the Pacers 118-96 on Jan. 27, covering as a 5.5-point road favorite. The score went over the total of 210.
In their last game, the Pacers’ Danny Granger scored a game-high 30 points to lead Indiana to a convincing 100-90 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Pacers covered the 3-point spread, while the 190 points went under the total of 212.5.
Dahntay Jones and Troy Murphy netted 17 points apiece for the Pacers, and Roy Hibbert chipped in with 12 in that win.
The Lakers scored 28 points in the fourth quarter and rallied for a 95-89 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. The Lakers failed to cover the 6-point spread, while the 184 points went under the posted total of 209.
Lamar Odom tossed in 20 points with 12 rebounds for a double-double in leading the Lakers. Ron Artest chipped in with 17 points in the win.
Los Angeles (45-15 SU, 25-33-2 ATS) has won two straight games. Indiana is 20-39 SU, 26-32-1 ATS.
