March Madness: Key College Basketball matchups this weekend

March Madness is here and the last weekend of College Basketball features some great matchups. Here’s a look at two key Big East tilts on Saturday.

The No. 8 West Virginia Mountaineers are on the road against the No. 9 Villanova Wildcats on Saturday, with a share of second place in the Big East conference on the line (12 pm ET, CBS).

Villanova is a 5-point favorite and the over/under total is 140 in NCAA Basketball Betting at Legends.

West Virginia has an edge over the past 10 meetings, going 6-4 SU and ATS.

The teams have met once already this season. Villanova upset West Virginia 82-75, covering as a 5-point road underdog. The score went over the total of 152.

West Virginia has won its past two, including an 81-68 victory over the No. 20 Georgetown Hoyas on Monday. West Virginia easily covered as a 7-point home favorite and the score went over the total of 136.

Villanova beat conference rival Cincinnati Bearcats 77-73 on Tuesday, just barely covering as a 3.5-point road favorite. The score slipped under the total of 150.5.

Also Saturday, the No. 1 Syracuse Orange look for revenge against the Louisville Cardinals at Freedom Hall on Saturday (2 pm ET, ESPN).

The Orange will be looking for payback after Louisville beat Syracuse 66-60 on Feb. 14 as a 7.5-point road underdog at the Carrier Dome – just the second loss for Syracuse this season.

The Cardinals are 5-1 straight up and 4-1-1 against the point spread over the past six meetings head-to-head.
